Survival No Rules (SNR) was created on February 24th, 2018 by Xavierlvll.

The server started during the Omlet Arcade era and was originally hosted from an old Android phone.

SNR was a Bedrock anarchy server with no rules. Players could grief, hack, build alliances, betray each other, create wars, or build massive bases.

“Spawn is like hell and the islands are like heaven.”

Over time SNR became known for major faction wars, hacked clients, giant lavacasts, massive bases and a long evolving history documented by the community itself.

2/24/2018 — SNR is created and Spawn Town begins.
5/17/2018 — Heaven Islands falls due to a coordinate leak.
10/14/2018 — The First Dark Age begins.
11/9/2018 — The Valley is founded.
2/8/2019 — First SNR Discord server is created.
3/10/2019 — Team Tyranny is founded.
3/27/2019 — Peace Islands founded.
4/1/2019 — Bombing of Spawn begins.
4/30/2019 — Realm Era officially ends.
8/9/2019 — SNR moved to old laptop infrastructure.
3/7/2020 — Dedicated server revival begins.
6/10/2020 — SMP officially separates from SNR.

Shifttech SMP

Shifttech SMP was completely separate from SNR.

Unlike SNR’s anarchy gameplay, SMP focused more on survival progression, economy, community events and long-term worlds.

As Bedrock exploits became worse on SNR, Shifttech SMP slowly became one of the primary focuses of the network.

SMP Season 3 became one of the most remembered eras of Shifttech.

Shifttech Terraria

Shifttech later expanded into Terraria multiplayer servers.

The Terraria community introduced many new players into the network and helped expand Shifttech beyond Minecraft.

Several players from Terraria later became involved in SNR and SMP.

The Shiftnet

Shifttech now operates The Shiftnet.

The network hosts its own servers including SNR, SMP and Skywars while also providing hosting services for other communities.

Shifttech also maintains archives and historical documents preserving years of community history.
